General description: Quite common in desert habitats in the east and south of Astrakhan Region (in addition to the specimens listed here, I observed them in Kharabalisky District, but no specimens were collected). Ecological features of the species in Lower Volga region are described in the article about Camponotus fedtschenkoi Mayr, 1877 (Grebennikov, Anikin, 2016).
